Privacy Policy

Who we are
Bright Future for Kids is a Florida nonprofit organization (in formation) that gives parents of struggling children free, research-based guides and tools. This policy explains what a parent account stores and who can see it.
What we store
Only what you choose to give us: your email address and a securely hashed password; your name and optional phone, city, and state; your children's profiles — first name, grade level, and focus areas only; and the practice pages, milestone results, letters, and bookmarks you save.
Children's information — kept minimal on purpose
Children's profiles are entered by a parent or guardian and are deliberately minimal: first name, grade level, and focus areas. We do not ask for children's last names, birthdates, school names, photos, or any medical records, and we do not collect information from children directly. If a document you save (such as a letter you wrote) contains details you typed into it, that document stays in your private account and you can delete it at any time.
Why we store it
So you can come back to your children's practice materials, print them again, and pick up where you left off. That is the only purpose.
Who can see your record
Only you, with your password. Our organization's admin (the founder) can look up a record only to help you — for example, if you are locked out or ask for help — and every admin look-up is logged. Nobody else can see your record.
What we never do
We never sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not show ads. We do not collect payment information — parent accounts are free, always. We do not collect medical or school records.
Security
Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes (PBKDF2) — we cannot read your password. Access to another family's record is blocked by the system, not just by policy. Keep your password private; use one you do not use elsewhere.
Your choices
You can edit your information, delete saved items, and delete your whole account at any time from your account page — deletion is permanent and immediate. You may also email us to ask what we store about you or to request deletion.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted on the account sign-in page.
